The center of this anger stems from his past as an orphan in the harsh slums of Yokohama. This quick temper often gets in his way, fueling his actions to the core of his very being. In instances such as Higuchi's screw-up during the manhunt for Atsushi, Akutagawa is quick to lash out, ridiculing him for risking the bounty by acting recklessly. Towards subordinates and superiors alike, he acts aloof, distancing himself from social interactions however possible. Hostile as he is towards the weak, he dislikes meaningless torture and prefers killing in one go whenever possible.Īs violent as he is, Akutagawa maintains a generally composed and detached approach. Merciless and blunt, Akutagawa doesn't discriminate when it comes to his targets, having no qualms killing anyone from innocent civilians, children, and enemies alike. Self-titled Port Mafia's "dog", Akutagawa depicts an acute willingness to commit violent crimes to further not only the mafia's goals but his own agenda. Much of the obedience he receives from subordinates of Black Lizard largely stems from fear of his short temper and general intolerance of incompetence. His ruthless, vicious nature makes him one of the Port Mafia's most dangerous members, feared by both ally and foe. He is not afraid of pain and defeat, if only to hear a word from a "certain person". Wan! appearance- preschool Akutagawa PersonalityĪkutagawa has a black and white "survival of the fittest" view of the world, claiming that weak people should die and give way to the stronger ones. THE KILLING DANISH WHAT HAPPENED TO REI FULL
When covered in Rashomon, the coat full covers Akutagawa's body including his mouth. When on his day-off, he wears a simple black coat and frameless tinted glasses. When Akutagawa used to live in the slums, he wears dirty and ragged clothes. Underneath his coat, he dons a white dress shirt, decorated with a layered ruffled fabric. He wears a long, black coat reaching past his knees over black fitting pants and black dress shoes. His eyes are sharp, somewhat baggy, and a dark empty grey. He has short, choppy black hair with side bangs that reach his chin and turn white at the tips. He's often seen covering his face with his hand due to his frequent coughing. Stender's story also further fuels Floki's hatred of Christians.Akutagawa has a slim build and very pale skin. After hearing what happened, Ragnar strangles Stender to prevent the other Vikings from shifting their focus from Ragnar's planned raid on Paris to revenge for the massacre. Once there he informs Ragnar and Floki about what happened. Unbeknownst to Ecbert and Aethelwulf, one man survived the massacre, a man named Stender.

By having his nobles be the ones to actually violate the peace treaty, Ecbert has been able to remove them from power and consolidate his own. He never wanted to let the Vikings settle on his land. When they're alone, he congratulates his son and tells him that this has been his plan since the beginning. Ecbert then asks to speak with Aethelwulf privately. When Ecbert finds out what happened, he arrests the nobles that participated in the killing. This violates the peace treaty King Ecbert made with Ragnar. Instead of bringing peace, Aethelwulf, the soldiers, and some of the nobles slaughter the entire Danish settlement. Aethelwulf is supposed to settle the issues between the two groups. Apparently frustrated by the refusal of the Danes to abandon their pagan gods, the Christians near the Danish settlement have burned down one of their houses. While still furious about this, King Ecbert sends his son with a group of nobles and soldiers to the Danish settlement. Prince Aethelwulf learns from Judith that she is pregnant with Athelstan's child.

The Massacre of the Danish Settlement is a mass killing that happens in Season 3 Episode 5, The Usurper.
